Candance is a Sibling Of a Deaf Adult (S.O.D.A.). She grew up living within the Deaf community, later became a certified and licensed American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter, working in various settings for 17 years and has now transitioned to become a certified SPED teacher within the public school system teaching English and ASL. She's passionate about working with the Deaf community and one day hopes to work with deaf students whether in the K-12 or postsecondary setting. She has worked with both children & adults, develops modified educational curriculum for autistic students, creates online educational resources for educators and parents that can assist with bridging the gap between the Hearing & Deaf communities.
